Things TV taught me.

Watch enough Television you will see: White people doing Hood things. The above TMobile commercial with the safe looking but slightly "urban" white guy rapping?

The State Farm commercial where the guy shouts out "What?!" at his boss ala Nore at the end?  How about Jim Cramer every night on national TV giving money advice with a "Booya!"?  Would anyone take money advice from a Negro shouting out "Booya!!!"?  Yeah...

How about the the Kia Soul commercial with the Hip Hop Hamsters?  Or the Corona commercial with the White DJ bumping Run DMC and the Black DJ playing some offbrand techno pop?  What about the beaver at the end of this Bridgestone commercial?  Not hard to guess where that comes from.

Not that black folk can't be in commercials, or on TV but usually they are presented in a non threatening fashion, you know safe black folk, doing safe things.  Unless of course, they are called on to be the stereotypical gang member on Law and Order or something (Shout out to Ice T).

Those coon shows on BET don't count.

The way I see it, while White folks love Black culture, they just don't always love Black people.  This way they have the best of both worlds.
