What's The Hold Up Holder?

They weren't murderers or anything; they had merely stolen more money than most people can rationally conceive of, from their own customers, in a few blinks of an eye. But then they went one step further. They came to Washington, took an oath before Congress, and lied about it.
Thanks to an extraordinary investigative effort by a Senate subcommittee that unilaterally decided to take up the burden the criminal justice system has repeatedly refused to shoulder, we now know exactly what Goldman Sachs executives like Lloyd Blankfein and Daniel Sparks lied about. We know exactly how they and other top Goldman executives, including David Viniar and Thomas Montag, defrauded their clients. America has been waiting for a case to bring against Wall Street. Here it is, and the evidence has been gift-wrapped and left at the doorstep of federal prosecutors, evidence that doesn't leave much doubt: Goldman Sachs should stand trial...
"This is the dog that didn't bark," says Eliot Spitzer, who tangled with Goldman during his years as New York's attorney general. "Their whole political argument for a decade was 'Leave us alone, trust us to regulate ourselves.' They not only abdicated that responsibility, they affirmatively traded against the entire market."

A lot of people were celebrating when Bin Laden was killed, I'll celebrate when these Wall Street fat cats get what they have coming to them.  The only reason I can conceive of why this hasn't happened yet is Obama doesn't want to appear unfriendly to business.  My response; they already think he's unfriendly to business.  That ship has sailed.  Ride out for the people for a change.  Hope change and all that warm fuzzy stuff.  At the very least lets have some perjury charges ala Barry Bonds!

What kills me about this issue is that you have "birthers" obsessed with Obama's birth certificate, "truthers" obsessed with proving 9/11 was an inside job, Tea Partiers obsessed with cutting taxes even though taxes are as low as they've ever been, the "Jay Z conspiracy", so on and so forth.  Add John Edwards prosecution, and the Weiner scandal and I can only wonder: Where are is the "Bring Wall Street to Justice" movement?  This is eminently provable.  All of the information is readily available.  There is no controversy to be had, unless of course you're a Wall Street fat cat trying to stay out of jail, or one of their shills.  Most people not just in this country, but in the world, want to see justice done here.

Why are people always paying attention to the wrong things I wonder?
